I'm not that deep in the Mac OS, but it seems I didn't copy but instead moved lots of the files in the Native Instruments folder to the live 9 folder. https://fattree310.weebly.com/best-vst-plugins-sites.html. Only four files remained in the originial NI Folder, 2.py and 2.pyc files, that I copied to the Ableton live 10 'Midi Remote Script/KompleteKontrolMK2' folder. A quick tutorial on how to install your Komplete Kontrol VST and AU for Ableton Live 9 on a Mac OS X Computer. For More Audio write ups, reviews, and podcasts, check out the Gear And Beer Audio.

I've been considering a Komplete Kontrol keyboard and believe NI and 3rd party NKS enabled plugins (say, Arturia or U-He) require that you first load a Komplete Kontrol instance into a track before loading an NKS plugin into that. But now that Push 2 supports 3rd party VSTs, can Komplete Kontrol be used with it? My guess is that KK is a layer between Push2/Live and the VST itself, defeating the benefits of both NKS patch browsing and Push 2 3rd party plugin loading. Can anyone confirm if this is the case?
